Review on Dastool 125 Universal Surface Grinding Tool - DT1701 by Edgardo Ennis

Not quite a universal option.

According to the description, it fits 90% of all coffee grinders - that's definitely not true. I've tried a Dewalt coffee grinder and it doesn't fit at all - Dewalt has 2 small protrusions behind the collar that prevent this mantle from being worn over the collar. I didn't want to remove the bumps. I took the shroud to Home Depot and Harbor Freight and found that it fits very few of their grinders - other manufacturers also had similar protrusions behind the collar. I finally bought a cheap coffee grinder from Harbor Frights. (Item No. 60372) because it fits. The downside was that the little grinder's motor got hot, so I often had to stop to let it cool down. The sheathing is well done and once I installed it on the mill it did the job. Another issue is that the connection between the dust collector and the vacuum can be engineered to actually fit a 1 1/4" hose. I had to use tape to connect the hose to the shroud. Not perfect , but i got it working..my project was to remove about 100 sq ft thin layer of concrete floor.I was able to do this without creating tons of dust.dust.- cheap. negative- doesn't fit many mills. Be prepared to buy a grinder with it.- Vacuum port needs better design what would work with it.If I worked a lot or often I would probably buy a more expensive cover to fit my grinder. Also when buying a coffee grinder have I saved money but really lost time.
