Review on Leaper Coffee Cross Body Messenger Sling Shoulder Bag - L For Men And Women by Atiyya Green

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not quite what I was hoping for.

.strangely enough, it's what I was expecting, though.Okay, so far, the bag is more than I was expecting, to be honest. The canvas is nice, the brown secondary color suits it well, but having ordered the black bag, I have yet to find a part of it that is actually black. The primary color is more dark brown than actually black. The first thing I did after checking all the pockets and seeing where my notebook could fit (main pocket only), was to cut off all the cheap pleather zipper pulls. I replaced them with the chainmaille zipper pulls from my old bag.The second thing I did was to trim back the sharp snaggled edge on the strap clasp, and took a pair of pliers to reshaping the clasp to secure properly. Upside, that thing is actually a decently thick aluminum, so it's not easily broken (yet). My next project for it is to remove the cheap pleather buckle accents from the front flap. Gonna find some brown straps somewhere and sew them on instead. It'll look better without the cheap pleather, trust me.I want to point out, there is a sheet of cardboard under the canvas separating the big pocket from the smaller front pockets. Mine came all bent up, and if I may suggest, a sheet of plastic may be stronger? Just saying. All in all, the bag took all my purse things, sits comfortably on my shoulder, and is as easy to cross-body carry as it is to just set it on my shoulder for normal carry. The main pocket can easily carry (plus normal purse things) a 5-subject notebook and four bottles of water (I used Lipton tea in my test).Definitely not bad for less than $30. Oh, and if it's not apparent, I'm using my bag as a normal carry purse.

Pros
  • BP4321
Cons
  • The bag feels cheap and flimsy
