Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this case. I bought the Targus because I have other Targus cases of different sizes. I also had one that lasted 2 years with daily use. It can still be used but is worn. I bought this particular one (12.1) last November. He already had a problem with the left middle zipper. The reason for this was the belt hooks. A book was somehow stuck on the edge in the middle and was difficult to detach. It was surprisingly strong because it didn't break. This happened twice when I put on the shoulder strap. Now the middle zipper is straying and getting stuck. I LOVE the size, roomy interior with multiple pockets and pen holders etc. But that makes it almost useless since I'm using the gem.
