To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this yarn, just regular cotton. It looks like a string. My god, I was wrong! This is the softest cotton I've ever used. It has a touch of acrylic for easy care, but with 60% cotton it's cool and absorbent. I make hats for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. It will definitely be gentle on her newly bald scalp. Thank you for the wonderful, soft yarn. I highly recommend it for anything that goes straight to the skin.
