Review on Shark Navigator Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum NV586: Unleashing Unmatched Cleaning Power! by Nikki Williams

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Began to fall apart after a few uses.

I bought this after reading positive reviews about Revain. I'm very disappointed with the Shark Navigator NV586, although the suction power was good and I love how it's broken down into useful components. The very first problem was the brush/nozzle combination. Right out of the box, the brush sticks in the forward position and won't slide sideways when you press the release button, allowing you to use the head by yourself. After just a few uses, the base unit no longer clicks when you move the handle to the vertical position. So when you carry the unit, the bottom unit hangs down making it difficult to carry without dragging across the floor. . Three days after the measly 90-day warranty expired, plastic pieces on the base of the base unit were chipping and the cheap plastic base cracked, rendering it unusable (see photos). Our previous vacuum was a Dyson which we used for six years before giving it to our daughter. She is still using it and our 3 month old shark has completely fallen apart.
