I have had this tank for 1.5 years. I love it. You should be able to feel the difference in the care and maintenance of acrylic and glass aquariums, but I will never buy a glass aquarium again. The fused top with separate holes creates some limitations, but I rarely fret about it. My aquarium is a freshwater aquarium with an AquaClear 110 filter and I have dwarf gouramis, full size gouramis, ctenopoms (leaf fish), mollies and dwarf gouramis. Catfish I bought a 60-90 gallon stand from petsmart (online only) and it works fine. The acrylic is beautiful, crystal clear, with perfect stitching and rounded front edges. I have not used or installed the hood or light that came with this one, I have already purchased a thin adjustable mount with some LED light settings and left the top mostly open. I lose a lot to evaporation, but I don't mind adding about 4 gallons of fresh purified water every 10-14 days. I do 50% water changes with a gravel vacuum (Python with 20" hose) that I bought from Amazon once a month or 2. After the first 6 weeks my water remained stable and as perfect as I can get with tap water has a pH of 8.6 and is high in nitrates (I used Seachem Prime and pH 7.5 products for tap water before it went in the water, both also from Amazon) great decor through the two main holes was tricky but since the parts weren't solid rectangles I somehow got things through that are actually bigger than the holes (see photo).I only use paper towels to clean the inside part or outside of the aquarium. They work well against algae .I haven't scratched anywhere in the aquarium in 1.5 years of ownership. My heater went straight into the heater hole (first was Zacro 300w, switched to Aqueon 150w).My thermometer was a little big for the thermometer hole which is a bit annoying, there the cable l is more visible, but that's not what I'm dealing with. I have the tools to enlarge the hole but never bothered to do it. My filter is huge and there is still plenty of room on both sides for the filter hole. The fixed top is annoying when net fishing/fishing and gravel clearing, but I've learned to adapt and I've never been able to. this is what i need It was an absolute pleasure to own and enjoy this tank. I will continue to buy acrylic aquariums and hope to someday get bigger/taller versions and start a discus aquarium. This aquarium was incredibly light, well made and I had no creases, scratches, discoloration or any other issues.
