My cats hate this thing. That's why I bought it. One of my cats especially likes to jump on the counter and crawl into the sink, regardless of whether there are dishes in it or not. But it's very annoying to finally sit down to eat something and then get up several times to get the cat out of the sink. I wanted some sort of lid for it that would allow me to use at least half the sink without too much trouble. I bought 2 20.8" x 18.1" racks that cover each bowl horizontally (since there is no rack large enough to cover both), with some overlap in the middle. They roll away easily when I need to use the sink and I don't have to move them at all to wash my hands, for example. And they would support a cat's weight if a cat sat on them, but it seems that a stand like this is one of those things that cats generally don't like to feel on their paws because they're always walking around it. Update: It took evil - it took the genius cat about 6 weeks to figure out how to remove the shelves from the sink so she could climb back in.
