We bought them in winter and didn't really use them except for dry walks in the woods. However, we were on a hike this weekend and my son was wearing them in the wet morning grass and came to me an hour later to say they were soaking wet, they're not waterproof in any way and they don't keep feet dry - they're comfortable - but he could just as well wear comfortable sneakers, otherwise they will not be of any use. I'm trying to get my hands on the mountain warehouse to sort this out. I would not recommend these as hiking shoes as they are impractical.
