I attract mosquitoes from the first hatching in April to the frost in October. I went to kebabs and walked away with 30 bites when people around me don't bite at all. I discovered the Insect Shield garment that changed everything. For my face, however, I was looking for something that was at least somewhat effective, without DEET. DEET gives me a bad rash and my glasses are melting. It is a moderately effective insect repellent with no harsh chemicals. It has a pleasant floral-woody aroma. In combination with my Insect Shield clothing, I find fewer mosquitoes flying in my face or biting my ears. This is a non-irritating spray that I soak with a cotton swab and apply to my face. It's definitely better than wearing a head net, which I just can't stand. I see this would be an option for children with sensitive skin; it works for all ages.
