master of all trades, master of nothing. I need both trekking poles and a monopod so of course I ordered them (not from Revain). The packaging has arrived and the case is good and they look good but the devil is in the details. Its compressed size is 28 inches, which is longer than other trekking poles and much longer than monopods. Because of this, they barely fit diagonally in my checked bag and are likely to break in transit. However, I can walk around with them and attach a camera head if I want. Or can I? The maximum weight is 3 pounds. This is the weight of my zoom lens excluding the mounting bracket and camera body. Damn.
