I needed a cord for a server project I was building. The server used an external enclosure to house 12 additional hard drives. I had two choices: run a second PSU in an external enclosure using a 2-way 24-pin power cord splitter, or I could run this extension from a modular server PSU through the back of the enclosure into the outer enclosure, and Then connect the hard drive peripheral cable to this extension cable to disconnect the drives from the server's main power supply. I ended up going with a 24-pin to 2-pin power supply cable, but that option worked. You can use it for any 6-pin modular power supply cable (graphics cards, HDD/SSD/Floppy peripherals, anything that uses a 6-pin connector). The cables are thick, not thin, but bend well when needed. I would buy them again.
