The flowers that came with it I threw RIGHT into the bin. Using hot glue, I added some woven jute to the glass collar and wood. I also added plastic bumper circles to the back (the people who live in my house aren't always careful). I doubled the hanging rope so it's not that long. Then stick a hefty clear drywall anchor into the wall (like I said, these other folks aren't careful). And I attached some peony petals to the neck of the jar with hot glue. It is enough that the flower does not fall into the trash can. I REALLY LOVE THIS!
