The monitor is sharp, bright, bright, touch functions work perfectly. Multi-touch pinching isn't as smooth as a tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but otherwise works well. My biggest problem is the screen edges. On tablets and phones, you get a smooth, flat touch surface that extends from the screen to the edges of the device. There are no beveled plastic edges to interfere with reading from the side. This monitor, like most monitors, has a fairly thick plastic casing all around. That's fine for a regular monitor, but I bought it for use with Windows 8, which uses the screen corners to access many features. It is very difficult to reach the corner of the screen with your finger to swipe and bring up the function display. To be honest, this could be a Windows active touch zone issue, but if you're buying this monitor for use with Windows 8, you should be aware of this issue. Addition: This is a resistive screen, which means it can be activated by touch. It's with different objects, not just your finger, and it's pretty delicate. I've tried an eraser, a piece of wood, a marker cap, a paper ball, and everything works. In fact, while moving things around my desk, I lightly touched the screen with a piece of paper and the icon moved from one side of the screen to the other.
