I have only positive things to say about Kangaroo. First, their application and delivery times are reliable. The instillation is easy, there were no problems. The device itself is very good, I like the look, quite small and the sticker is modern but catches the eye of burglars. The pet opt-out technology worked for me and I love how it even shows you how to install it in the app setup. The app is really simple (in a good way) and modern. It works as it should, but has almost no frills. It's unlikely you'll be able to change the disable delay (just 5 or 10 minutes) or set up a motion detection schedule. To be fair, IFTTT integration is coming soon and allows for a lot more customization, but otherwise it's just "use for a purpose". There is none. So I decided to buy a kangaroo motion sensor. It worked great and I soon saw other products (including a keypad/alarm and a door/window sensor with built-in motion detection) so I bought more. Arming/disarming is easy and with Apple Shortcuts you can use Siri to disarm and arm. There's a 5-minute (or 10-minute) exit delay, which is useful if you need to get everyone out of the house, but sometimes it's not necessary. It would be nice to have an instant arm feature. I have noticed that there is a delay of about a minute when motion is detected and when a notification is received (on high speed internet) so this may be an issue for some but it works fine for me. The "full plan" includes 24/7 professional surveillance, which is a good option. It only costs about $5 per month. So if you look at other companies like ADT or SimpliSafe, you save a lot but lose a lot of features. The monitoring agents are very friendly, calm and professional and respond quickly. I've only had positive experiences with it (movement was detected once) so I'm very happy with the customer service. The only issue I found with the plan was the lack of backup cellular service. That means if you lose your power (i.e. the internet) for some reason there is no WiFi, or if a burglar cuts your wires you have no security system. Most (if not all) other companies have cellular backup, but they also cost five times as much. So this is a feature I would like to see in the future, but may not be needed at the current price point. The company is small, so I bet they just don't have the user base to afford cellular backup right now. The customer service is by far the best I've ever experienced. They are incredibly friendly, so sweet and will always give you what you want in the long run. I requested three additional stickers for my house (pending payment) and they said they would send them for free. After a few days they said they couldn't find any stickers to send me so they would send three free motion sensors instead! (Price $90!) I am incredibly happy with their service. Instead of waiting for them to answer, call and if an agent is available they will call you back! I asked for one and they called within a minute. Incredibly happy with the customer service but this is a small business so I expect this service will diminish as they expand. (Just a theory.) I'm particularly excited about their new products. To be honest, I don't think I would have continued to purchase their products if I hadn't known there would be more of them in the future. I need a full security system with keypad (for guests and cleaning lady) and siren. If you're just servicing a country house, wine cellar, sauna or are on a tight budget then that's no problem, but for me I'd love to use it on a daily basis. So I'm incredibly excited about their new products and will definitely buy them.
