This is working correctly according to the specs. However, this is just an IR remote control. So if your Apple TV is hidden in a closet or behind your TV, you won't be able to use the remote unless you have some kind of IR blaster. The Apple TV remote is wireless, so it works out of sight of the Apple TV. This is still very beneficial when your Apple TV is outdoors. Just watch out for restrictions. I think this should be included in the product description. We're talking about working with other devices, but not the Apple TV itself.
