These mandalas are smaller - slightly larger than most rocks you paint on, but you can draw the first rings of the design for a similar effect. Although perfect for coasters! My 10 year old and I are just starting to learn mandalas and I've had a lot of fun doing it. You don't get any other tools or supplies, but you don't need them either. The stencils are a little thick for use with pencils and markers instead of paint, but we did this for the first time and were completely satisfied with the product. Since then we've expanded into colors. You may or may not get point tools. The designs themselves are beautiful and each one is individual. Also the perfect size for making cards.
