I have 3 used ones that are relatively cheap and compact. They're great for travel so you don't have to carry an extra cable, but they're not the best card readers out there. I had bent 1 pin in the CF reader (because it's not very tight so there's a lot of room for user error). If 1 pin is bent you can no longer use the CF reader (makes it unusable for me). I downloaded 64GB cards full of pictures and they randomly disconnected from the computer during the download. When I install a download, I don't touch the computer, card reader, or desk so I don't bump into it and cause a loss of connection. No, this reader often loses connection for no apparent reason. I will continue to buy it as it is compact and travel friendly. But if I find a new alternative, rest assured I will switch!
