I bought three of these lights to replace the ugly lights that were in the hallway and two small rooms of my house when I bought them. I love the look of the ornate glass lampshades and the amount of light that comes through is wonderful. However, the electrician I hired to install the lights had to replace a part in each one. The thread "tube" coming out of the center and protruding through the shade to unscrew the knob isn't long enough. Once the bulbs were in sockets (LEDs are equivalent to 75-watt bulbs), the lampshade wouldn't turn on. The lights got in the way. The electrician replaced the supplied pipe with a longer one from his stock, after which the ceiling could be put on and screwed on top.
