Review on Superior Quality Spedal Autofocus Webcam for High-Definition Broadcasting by Mike Pettigrew

Using the Timelapse 3D printer

I bought this webcam to provide slow motion footage for the Octoprint 3D printer server that I use on my Rapsberry Pi 4. I officially used the Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2, but I wasn't really happy with the output quality. What I found with this Spedal streaming webcam was that it was a matter of plug and play to get this camera up and running. I didn't have to change any settings in the Octoprint server software as the camera used the Raspberry Pi's camera settings. Life is good. In previous reviews, I have noticed that some buyers have problems with the ZOOM function of this camera. The camera I received has full ZOOM functionality. Works as advertised. The built-in light serves as a great light source in this application. I used to use LED strips for lighting but found that this form of lighting was too harsh due to the sensitivity of this camera and resulted in a washed out display due to overexposure. I've found that using indoor lighting works best on the softest or least bright setting. Now the output from this camera has a natural look. If I were to make one caveat so far, it would be that autofocus is a bit slow for this app. This is more than reasonable for the purchase price. I'm so impressed I just ordered another camera for my other 3D printer.
