These are (bad) brake lights.

Further upgrade after several months of use. I have come to the conclusion that these lamps are a total waste. The LEDs themselves are fine. Nice and bright. Connectors, on the other hand, are utter nonsense. I've been pulled over twice because these bulbs absolutely refuse to make proper contact in the plug. I can pull out the braid, shake the lightbulb and watch it go on and off. The standard bulbs I reinstalled don't have this problem. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy these as they pose a safety hazard as they can randomly vibrate freely enough to stop working. I would return them if I could. UPDATE WITH WARNING: IT IS IMPERATIVE TO ENSURE THAT THE CONTACTS IN YOUR OUTLET ARE CLEAN AND THE CONTACTS ON THE LIGHTS ARE CURVED ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY TOUCH THEM. I'm writing this little warning to my review because I had a flashing issue that resulted in me being STOPPED and then ARRESTED. Small disclaimer, light bulbs were not the reason for the arrest, it was a mistake on the part of the justice system I live in. BUT, if the bulbs had made good contact at all, I wouldn't have been stopped from the start. I'm in the process of replacing almost all of the bulbs in my 99 Frontier with LEDs. Those brake lights were a great addition too. They are nice and bright with a very noticeable illumination when braking. For those who become "losers", try rotating the light bulb 180ยฐ and test again. LEDs normally only work if the orientation is correct. My suggestion to manufacturers would be to label which pin is positive and which is negative. With some fixtures that contain these bulbs, it's very easy to tell the orientation just by the colors of the wires leading to the socket. I actually marked mine after checking the polarity of the bulbs with a multimeter to make sure I wasn't damaging the bulbs.
