Installation Issues.: Cables and Accessories

๐˜๐—น;๐—ฑ๐—ฟ: Comparable price option with aviator keyboard cable. Not very suitable for charging or file transfer. It is clear that this cable is not intended for anything other than a keyboard. I'm pretty sure it's USB 2.0, so it doesn't work with "traditional" cable usage. I'll just check it for its "keyboard" qualities:โšช JACK: The hub and cable are kind of tough. It won't hold sharper turns; I assume it's meant to draw across your table straight from your keyboard. On the plus side, it doesn't have the kinks that softer, less expensive cables can have. The color of the sleeve is pearly white, not in color but in reflectivity.โšช AVIATOR: The aviator connector is visibly colored; it's not anodized, electronically coated or anything like that. Next to the screws, part of the paint has already been scraped off. I can't say I was surprised, but I was a little disappointed.โšช PORTS: Ports are the weak link here. The USB-A side is not attractive. Here they have chosen such a case of the "cheap electronics" type. The USB-C side uses thick white heat shrink tubing, and it looks like it could be taped to the cable crimp. I measured it as ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฎ,๐Ÿญmm x ๐Ÿฒ,๐Ÿญmm. It's too big for the recessed ports on some of my keyboards; It only fits my boards with wide open ports. This cable is comparable to its competitors, but the lack of compatibility detracts from the quality for me. Overall a good cable but personally I won't be using it as it doesn't fit the board I was trying to order it for.

Pros
  • The S-Series aviator cable uses a white-painted GX-16 aviator connector; The cable itself is wrapped in white 550 paracord and again wrapped in a white PET jacket. The USB-C end is heat-shrinkable for compatibility with most keyboards.
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
