Not heavy enough to cut french fries.

There is nothing wrong with the vegetable cutter. The thin blade was too thin for my needs and the thick blade was the thin slice I liked. It's hard to cut a cucumber. I punctured the potato halfway trying to cut the fries and thought I'd break the handle. Have returned the item.
