Judging by the number of reviewers who have used it against everything Val guides and then slammed it in their ratings, the manufacturer is right, time and time again say that this shaver is DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE. A professional knows how to use it properly. If you want to know how to use it as a PRO, there are videos online. As the name suggests, this is a FINISHING tool used to remove the very last stubble down to skin level. When used as directed, the results are just as good as an electric one. Will not cut, scratch or irritate the scalp or face. This is without a doubt the most comfortable short blade electric shaver I have ever used. I've replaced the foil 3 times for $20 each, the total cost is $60 on top of the original cost of the razor, it's ridiculous. When these foils fail, they break during shaving. When that happens I cut my scalp and cheek heavily. I don't put any extra pressure on the razor when I use it, and I clean and oil Wahl blade oil after each use. The running costs are ridiculous. I'm deducting three stars from my original rating due to the very poor design. I tried to contact Wahl via email detailing all my issues and was told to call instead. If I could call I would make it fun again. This is one of the worst customer services I have ever experienced. I will never buy a Wahl product again.
