If you are short (especially if you have a memory foam mattress) then you definitely need this pillow. I'm only 5ft 2" and I've been looking for YEARS for a pillow that isn't too thick or hard yet still supports my neck in a neural position. If you have a memory foam mattress like mine, you sink in a bit and need a thinner pillow. Seriously, I've tried thousands of pillows (and I'm talking some really expensive memory foam pillows, gel pillows, water filled pillows, regular filled pillows and the list goes on, they were either too thick or too firm or didn't cut the neck support - it was like the padding on the regular pillows just slipped out from under my neck as I moved in my sleep, and as for the water pillows, the water seems to flow where the lightest weight is mostly around the head, but adding more water just made the pillow too hard. Also, I usually sleep on my side, so I usually use the flat side of the pillow, but a couple of times I had to lift my leg and had to lie down on my back and twist I changed the pillow to use the hump side of my neck, I didn't have any neck pain either, although I'm just not that comfortable being on my back to sleep. Been low for about 3 months or maybe a little longer and it's still as perfect as the day I bought it. In that case, while I can't vouch for its overall lifespan at this point, to be honest no matter how long it lasts because it's foam and any foam eventually loses its stiffness (which just happens with memory). lather everything over time from mattresses to pillows to shoes etc) but I would happily keep spending to buy more and more if I had to as nothing quite compares to how it has helped me , and of course everything wears out over time. Time. It appears to be made out of quality foam but not too dense to be too stiff. I think he will have a good lifespan. I also bought one for each of my daughters and they both love them. I have a feeling this will work for most kids even if they are not small. Also, I just wanted to be honest that I never go wrong with reviews even if I should. But I just had to leave a review for this pillow because it has changed my life. One last thing, it took quite a while to get these pillows but for us it was worth it.
