I have been using Lyndall Z-Plus pads on my 2003 Deuce for over 10 years and have ridden almost 50,000 miles. Compared to HD pads, Lyndall pads are superior in every way. I used HD pads for the first few years, but cycling the Blue Ridge Mountains with them was a problem. Bearing pads overheated and burned out. Even when they were cool, they didn't stop the bike very well. Throw in thick black brake dust and they were all pretty bad. A friend suggested I try the Z-Plus. You were the best in every way! There is no brake fade now. They last longer and are much cleaner. I can't say they are completely dust free, but that is very insignificant compared to standard pads. Best of all, the stopping power is amazing! So much so that I have to be really careful when standing in front of the group. A couple of times when I was hitting the brakes pretty hard the guys with the stock brakes passed me on either side. They just couldn't stop using their regular brakes. Most of them quickly switched to Z-Plus after seeing how well my Deuce brakes. They were just as good on my daughter's Sportster (the XL uses two different P/Ns, front and rear!) and the Deluxe that it replaced.
