Update: The only problem we've had in three years is the horizontal light adjustment. It rides on a ball joint at the end of a bracket that mounts in the light itself. This part is kinda loose. It's still good enough to make the light parallel to the top of the frame, but I recommend not overdoing it once you have it even. You don't have to hit him to change the batteries, which last a long time. My other comment is that when the painting is covered with glass, the light reflects off the glass. You have to balance this with the amount of light you want in the picture. Pulling it out very far and pointing it all the way down doesn't give you much reflection, but you don't get much light either. Finally, I checked out some other cheaper options on Amazon. If you have beautiful paintings or paintings and want to decorate your living room, I highly recommend them. You will love these lights long after you forget the price. Original: Antique brass is more of a pewter color with golden reflections. Use polished brass if you want a more golden color. Installation was easy once you know how to drive a screw into a wall. Measure seven times, drill once, as the saying goes. Seems to be strong. 5 dimming options. Return to the set level. Nice warm light colour. Stylish looks and obviously no cord. Kind of expensive. hope it lasts
