This product is very easy to install. The size and shape are neither bulky nor obtrusive. The board works perfectly. The brightness control is a nice feature. What I didn't like at all was the bright bluish light emitted by the small bulbs. It is not "natural" light that renders the lamp unusable. I wanted to use them over (I bought two) a pair of 18th century portraits but the light bluish color emanating from the piece ruined the effect of the warm 18th century colors shown in the paintings.

Firstly, the light is not really bright enough to blur the image as it appears in the pictures. My phone camera really did it that way. There are multiple brightness options to choose from. This is a great looking unit, easy to install and gives adequate if not too bright light. But there is a serious design problem. It uses three C-cell batteries, two of which are placed inside the tube and the last one is outside of the tube body and protected by the tube cover. The cover does not hold the battery securely. I've bought seven of these since 2020 - love them so much. This is a well built quality product. Traditional lighting design. Brushed brass looks great on my gilded frames; I'm glad I didn't get polished brass. I installed directly on the back of the frame. The light is a traditional warm white with 5 levels of brightness and the brightest levels are brighter than I would like. Update: The only problem we've had in three years is the horizontal light adjustment. It rides on a ball joint at the end of a bracket that mounts in the light itself. This part is kinda loose. It's still good enough to make the light parallel to the top of the frame, but I recommend not overdoing it once you have it even. You don't have to hit him to change the batteries, which last a long time. My other comment is that when the painting is covered with glass, the light reflects off the glass.
