Firstly, the light is not really bright enough to blur the image as it appears in the pictures. My phone camera really did it that way. There are multiple brightness options to choose from. The pictures show it in full force. One picture with the ceiling lights on in the house, the other off. I read a lot of reviews and noticed that a lot of people complain about the battery door not staying closed. I'm a big fan of rechargeable batteries for a number of reasons, one of which is that they weigh a lot less than disposable batteries. I received mine today and it worked for about 4 hours with no problems. I liked it so much I ordered a second one and plan on buying many, many more.
