This is a great looking unit, easy to install and gives adequate if not too bright light. But there is a serious design problem. It uses three C-cell batteries, two of which are placed inside the tube and the last one is outside of the tube body and protected by the tube cover. The cover does not hold the battery securely. If the lamp head is reversed to shine down as shown in the picture, the terminal will lose contact. To prevent this I wrapped the outside of the battery with sticky paper to make it wider. In this case, too, you have to be careful not to touch the device, otherwise the battery will lose contact again. I would return but I already have the mount installed on the back of the frame and would like to try and get it working. Update: Batteries keep losing position and my returns window has closed. I advise against buying this device. Very disappointed.
