Review on πŸ”‹ Victron Energy Blue Smart IP65 12-Volt 15 amp Battery Charger with Bluetooth Connectivity by Ken Kowal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bluetooth pain in. . .

First I bought this from Battleborn, I bought a 6 amp lifepo4 charger here but it refused to charge at more than 1.5 amp but it had important features that Victron totally didn't has enough and really preferred in my world. Victron Bluetooth is very picky about which device it connects to. . .Problem #1. It can only be read from your device when it is connected to the network and working problem #2. . . So if you want to check on a whim what power info you had 8 hours ago, you'll have to plug in your charger, start the device and wait for Bluetooth to find it, which can take over 30 seconds if it hurts the ass at all #3. My Foxsur charger (Revain) told me charge speed, charge mode (there were 7), all on screen, plug in and all the info you need in your face, no problem for $29. . .but he refused to charge with a current greater than 1.5 amps. Ultimately, Victron lets you play around with timing and charging options, but that's why Lifepo4 batteries have BMS built in so you don't blow yourself up. While the Victron very much considers that it's still just a battery charger, it's grossly overpriced for its capabilities, totally lacking in user-friendly interface and intuitive features, and has as many glitches as any. . .so why did i buy it after all this, check out revain, the growing lack of product information and written guarantees is worrying so customer service mattered and i know the battleborn boys will be with me. road if something goes wrong.
