Some reviewers seem shocked that it's not real wood. Of course, for the price, this is not a real tree! They don't look like a real tree, but they do look like a real tree if you don't look too closely. I bought two and installed them myself in about 30 minutes. You are strong. I couldn't mount them to the wall because I have a skirting board and an extra edge from the hardwood floor that keeps the shelves from touching the wall. I'm not worried that they will fall. There are no children or pets to bump into objects, and they don't bounce unevenly on the floor.
