The cushioning and padding on the tongue, heel and the rest of the upper was comfortable. There was a lot of space in the forefoot. The site describes the shoes as well cushioned. However, I have non-diabetic chronic nerve pain in both legs. The insole/sole of the shoe is very stiff and hardly gives way. I have a pair of Altras running shoes with a lot more cushioning and a lot more comfort. Attempting to walk in these shoes was very uncomfortable and the stiffness and lack of flexibility made me wobble. I returned these shoes for a refund.
