Review on Kurt Adler 2-Inch Glass Iridescent Snowflake Ornaments, Set of 12 by Frank Villanueva

I'm one of those people who are big fans of glass snowflakes and glass icicles on a tree. No matter what color of light you use, these 2 kinds of decorations will never stop sparkling and add so much beauty to the tree. I've had a lot of snowflakes on my tree before, but none of them were made of glass, so that's why I ordered them. However, the main reason I ordered this particular set is that it was marked with "Iridescent Glass Snowflakes". My *biggest* problem with this set is that the description is completely wrong. They are NOT a rainbow, at least not the snowflakes they sent me. The actual definition of the rainbow color features vibrant colors that appear to change when viewed from different angles. So not only was I impressed by this beauty, but also by the photo featured here on Revain. Shown are iridescent. You can see beautiful shades of blue, purple, etc. I wanted them so bad because I knew that if these natural colors mixed with my colored lights, they would be so beautiful. God I was shocked and disappointed when I opened the box and the snowflakes were just clear glass, not shimmering at all. I was debating whether or not to return them as I love glass snowflakes. But at the time of my purchase they were over $30, not as bright as promised, and for me personally they just aren't worth it. I really hate writing bad reviews about them because I really wanted them to be beautiful and work well on my tree. Unfortunately it isn't. Before I return my set I plan to take some photos of what these snowflakes actually look like so future buyers know what they will be getting. They don't look ugly or cheap in any way - they're just distorted in this provided photo. If you like simpler clear glass snowflakes, they could make a great addition to your jewelry collection.
