I've had it for a few months now - I replaced an old Philips beard trimmer which had a broken beard guard which rendered it unusable. It seems to work better than my old trimmer and the protection seems pretty solid. The only thing I don't like about this trimmer compared to my old trimmer is the lack of "attachments" like the narrow trimmer head for trimming detail. Annoying, but not a big problem for me. It holds a charge well, is fairly quiet (there's some sort of vibration/noise from the guard - one wonders if the guard really is as strong as it looks), but it's quieter and has a tighter/smoother undercut. A great all-purpose beard trimmer for the price.
