Review on Nikon Z7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera (45.7MP Resolution, Body, Black): Model 1591 - Expert Review & Top Deals by Bhavin Tharwani ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

A complete disaster, the product definitely did not pass the quality check!!!

I really regret the purchase, I continue to shoot with old Nikon models. I don't recommend this mirrorless camera. The optics for the Nikon Z7 are smaller in size, correspond to the size of CROPS cameras and are of extremely poor quality.

Pros
  • Pros: highly questionable. Powerful Marketing
Cons
  • Flaws. 1. Low-quality noisy matrix with a large number of broken and hot pixels. I have over a hundred. The service center said that this is the norm for Nikon mirrorless cameras. Dead pixels are legalized in the Nikon documentation on page 160, it is referenced in the service center. Photo submitted. 2. It makes no sense to shoot at ISO more than 400, although the manufacturer claims quality over the entire sensitivity range. Noises are the strongest. 3. I noticed that over time the number of dead pixels increases. After software removal of dead pixels, their number increased after 3 months. 4. The battery is barely a soul in the body, it is impossible to get more than 320 frames under any circumstances. I specially presented a photo from which it can be seen that a new battery, with a charge consumption of 55% (the remainder of 45%), made 161 frames. Still on it you can make no more than 150 shots. Total maximum 320 frames. 5. If you do not touch the camera from two weeks to a month, the charged battery will go to zero. A very unpleasant surprise. This is not the case with other fotos. 6. The high cost of the battery, 6,000, with an extremely small capacity. 7. There is no flash, the battery simply does not pull. 8. Due to the lack of a flash, poor ISO, and a weak battery, the Nikon Z7 cannot be used when traveling. 9. Poor image quality at 8288x5520 resolutions. An image with the strongest digital distortion. The processor for such resolutions is not capable of working qualitatively. 10. Static focus works tolerably at low resolutions, but on faces it works disgustingly even at low resolutions, at high resolutions it almost does not work. Focus on the eyes does not work Nowhere from the word No way. 11. I categorically do not recommend shooting Video, otherwise the matrix will be covered with a large number of hot and dead pixels from overload. This is even written in the documentation. 12. You can not shoot (especially Video) bright light sources, even risky to shoot sunsets. The matrix burns out. And they will tell you they are to blame.
