Review on Compact American Cedar Wood Shoe Trees - FootFitter Travel Cedar Shoe & Boot Tree, Portable Design by Eddie Duncan

Nice build quality. Long term use will damage shoes.

I bought these for a new pair of Common Projects Achilles Low sneakers. They have a nice build quality. However, when I put them in the shoes it puts a lot of pressure on the leather and you can see bumps formed on each side of the shoes where the wood looks to be stretching them. Removing the shoe trees after being in overnight and there were bumps left on the leather where the wood was pushing against it. Thankfully after a day of wear the bumps were gone. I'm afraid using these for long term storage will end up stretching the shoes out. The only time I can see using these now is if I'm flying and I don't want the shoes to lose shape in my luggage. Otherwise, I'm not going to risk these ruining my shoes with these.

Pros
  • Thses shoe trees are good quality and easy to use.
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other materials (e.g. plastic, metal
