The picture shows my data cable and magnetic end of this product. I noticed that it looks like a pin is missing. The USB cable has 5 pins while the magnetic charging pin only has 4. So I have an LG Empire as a temporary phone. My iPhone 6 stopped charging and Empire was cheap. However, I walked the cables like crazy. They last about a month. So I decided to try this magnetic data cable. At home I use my cell phone as a template. So I MUST have the data. I first tried this cable in my car. Charges great. Bump automatically disconnected and reconnected, but other than that it worked fine. THEN I went back home and connected the second cable to my computer. Windows gave an error "Unidentified device. The connected device is faulty!" Well, shoot. I thought maybe it was Windows 10. So I connected it to my laptop. Windows 7 didn't recognize it either. I connected the magnetic connector to my old iPhone 6. Windows recognized the phone and iTunes synced without any problems. So it charges and transfers data to my iPhone 6. But does NOT transfer data to my LG Empire. Windows will not recognize it when connected to this magnetic cable. Much luck. If you use this tip instead of the ones provided, my Empire will connect and be recognized by Windows. So the tips included are inferior. The cable works great. The tips I ordered work great.
