In my soul I have tried many different washcloths including a variety of sponges and washcloths. However, gloves are one of my favorites. They're a little rough, especially if you're used to a washcloth or something softer. Nevertheless, the degree of roughness is good, thoroughly peeling, not painfully abrasive. I recommend using lots of good quality shower gel with them. As long as you're a little gentle, they work great. Afterwards you feel very well cleaned and your skin is visibly softer. Apply moisturizer and you're done! I like them a little more than a sponge because they clean the skin very quickly. The sponge gives a softer and more comfortable feel, but it's really a powerful scrub. Because they're on your hands, you can use them both at the same time, and the fact that they wrap around your fingers means you can even wash behind your ears or between your toes very easily. You also don't have to hold on, you can't drop them, and you can still pick things up while putting them on. They're cheap so they'll wear out in a few places if you use them every day. I didn't have much trouble with it. I usually use them several times a week and they last for several months. I've never had a pair that was completely usable. And in any case, like sponges and washcloths, they should probably be changed from time to time. So I don't mind that they don't last forever.
