I recently purchased a King sized IKEA bed with the slat bottoms but did not like the fact that you can see the slats underneath the mattress. Looking around, I figured I would give this a shot to see if I could cover them up.First thing to keep in mind is that this is a ring and has no top. It is only designed to wrap around the outside of the bed so there is nothing going across the entire top of the boxspring.With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to fit it over the slats which are just slightly larger than a typical boxspring. It was a tight fix and I would not fault this skirt if the slats eventually rip through. But I have had it installed for several months now and it works like a charm. I can't see the slat base any longer.If I were to need one for a standard boxspring, I would have no qualms purchasing one of these again. For my alternative use case, It certainly fit the bill.
