Cute but not functional

I find the canisters too cute, I love purple and it suits my kitchen perfectly but no more. I give 1 star because they don't work. The top is closed with a rubber ring and it is very difficult to open it for the first time because the closure is very tight. Once they're open, you'll never close them properly. The rubber seal has come out in a few places as a result of attempts to open it. Two canisters don't close completely and one closes but there is no seal, since I opened it it doesn't seal at all. You can see in the photos that 2 seals prevent me from closing, which of course meant that my sugar and cream went hard and didn't taste fresh. I resorted to putting them in ziplock bags and stuffing them into two canisters. Also in each canister are fragments of ceramic defects stuck to the bottom of each canister. I preferred the ziplock bags for fear they might break my sugar or cream if you tap it with a spoon and overcook. Probably hazardous to health. Manufacturers will definitely need to fix the pieces of ceramic stuck in the bottom and redesign the top. Caps should be replaced with screw caps. If they fixed those two main issues, these canisters would cost $30, but now they're no more than $15. Placing ziplock bags on the inside to keep your product fresh and prevent splinters from entering your product defeats the purpose of canisters. DO NOT recommend if you are buying these for food storage.
