Children's toys or adult toys?
For my nephew's first birthday. I think I played with him more than he did. Big enough that he wouldn't choke on the pieces, but not too big that the magnets wouldn't work. I partially agree that the magnets could be stronger, but I also have a feeling that if they were, they could pinch a pinky finger between objects. Excellent and we will continue to buy more. Bonus - easy to clean up without getting up by making a long stick and grabbing them all!
