It's rubbery and flimsy compared to the more rigid Weathertech brand. This makes cleaning difficult. It does its job of protecting the carpeting underneath, but if it were sturdy and didn't look like cooked spaghetti it would be a lot easier to clean by simply pulling it out of the trunk and dumping all the junk. Instead you really have to vacuum it as everything will fall off and go through the mounting strap holes, defeating the purpose. But it is thick and physically protects the carpet underneath.
