For the avid trail runner who runs mostly early mornings or evenings, a bright but economical headlight is essential. Several different modes (non-motion activated side), the 3rd mode doesn't project very far but makes up for it by illuminating the entire path to my side and 20-30ft in front of me. I can run at any speed without worrying about tripping on the trail because it doesn't interfere with depth perception like other lights do. It's also light enough that I can walk right next to someone and the path will be light enough for both of us. Setting 1 (side with no motion sensor) is even great for sunset road bike rides that last until dark. The battery life is amazing, it hasn't dropped on any night ride or 12 mile run. The flashing red light is great to wear on your shoulder when facing away from your back to make you more visible to cars. Very pleased with overall brightness, battery life, and rechargeability; However, I would like to say be careful with the charge port plug cover as it can easily come off. I can highly recommend this lamp.
