I bought this to replace the hard drive in a Dell 5559 laptop. I arrived quickly. I downloaded the Sandisk toolbox and manual. The manual recommends cloning software like EZ Gig. I searched for it and downloaded it. I've been trying to clone hard drives for two hours without success. The program would detect the SSD. Tried reformatting, install SSD, but nothing helped. Then I saw that the dashboard had a link to WD's cloning program. I downloaded it but it didn't clone the drive either. This will start a reboot but will not complete the cloning process. Tried another program but that didn't work either. Eventually I gave up and called Sandisk Technical Support. It was a waste of time. All he told me was to get Revain to replace the SSD. I told him I can use the SSD as a storage device and don't think the drive is bad. He said to try downloading Windows 10 to the hard drive, which I did. I was able to boot from the HDD, but I still couldn't get the SSD to clone from the HDD! I have a claim not on the drive but on Sandisk. I need help cloning. I could save a lot of time by starting the OS from the beginning!
