Four stars for a small price. The quality is more like 3 stars. They hold up well on earrings and the finish seems pretty good. The main criticism is that the linkage on most of these fasteners is difficult to open for the first few opens. For many/most of these I have to use beading pliers to open and close them the first or second time because the lever seemed to "stick" to the wire towards the end. They were impossible to open with just your fingers. I have learned to open and close them several times before attaching them to the earring to ensure they work smoothly. I didn't have a single broken ear wire during this hard tug to open them. However, one of them pulled out of shape because it was very difficult to open the first time (I changed the shape slightly with the bead pliers just mentioned). Once the lever releases and you open and close them a few times, the lever works pretty well. heavy silver plate, not real 100% sterling but I've had no issues and the finish hasn't worn off or even tarnished yet (and I'm personally allergic to nickel and other metals so I probably would have noticed by now). I've since bought them again, so I'm happy enough with them to use them again despite initial leverage issues. They are from overseas so be prepared to wait a few weeks for delivery.
