Bought this item myself. Washed once and will not fade. Has a long zipper on the side. And eight drawstrings inside to keep duvet in place. Cotton material, such as cotton bedding. Too thin for a 15 pound duvet. This causes the ceiling to shift too much, even with ties (3 on the sides, 3 on the edges). Not prickly. But not soft either. I won't come back because I'm sick and that's all I have. But if this company had a case made out of a thicker material, I would prefer it. For a weighted blanket, you'll also need ties down the center. The ties are tight, by the way. However, if you are in a light blanket, I think everything will be fine. I'll edit if anything changes.
