Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Portable Tabletop Weather Radio - Analog Tuning AM FM Radio Ideal for Power Outages and Emergencies - Small 2-Band Radio with Headphone Jack, Stable Reception, and Quality Sound by Luke Liu

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Serves my purpose well for portable audio and video

There is only one FM station that reaches my location on the southern tip of the island of Hawaii. Radio speaker sound is clear, if a little thin, and suffers compared to a cheap and vintage boombox. Strangely, the sound through the headphones is inferior to the sound from the speaker. Dull and less pronounced. The weather station is clear enough for that. AM reception is good, the sound depends on the station. I do not care. I bought the radio to replace the white noise CCJ units which soon stopped working. The noise between FM stations is large white noise. If I rated only white noise, it would be five stars. I need white noise because the bedroom next to mine belongs to someone who needs 24/7 sound and the low noise level of their TV interfered with my sleep at night. Problem solved as the hiss overrides the hiss and I'm sure this radio will give off some nice static for years to come. I'm really surprised this radio doesn't sound better. Five decades ago I had a half-size radio that was really nice to listen to. Made in Japan.

Pros
  • weather radios
Cons
  • packaging is ugly
