Review on Canon EOS 600D Kit EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, black by Adam Borken-Hagen ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

It's just perfect for a beginner (like the 650D and 700D). It has everything a beginner photographer needs. The capabilities of this camera will grow as your skill grows for a very long time tocomme. You will also notice a significant improvement in image quality when moving up to mid-range lenses. The fleet of lenses for the EF-S / EF mount is simply huge, there will be plenty to choose from. Photo examples:

Pros
  • 1. Excellent image quality. APS-C sensor and processor as in older models. 2. Capacious battery, enough for ~ 700 shots without flash. 3. Rotary screen. In some situations (for example, shooting in a crowd with arms outstretched or very close to the ground), there is simply no way without it. 4. Sufficiently low noise. At iso 800 they are almost absent, at iso 1600 they are already noticeable, but if you develop from raw, again, they are practically absent. 5. In video mode, when shooting, you can change all the main parameters (in M). 6. Comfortable grip. It does not slip in the hands, it is quite comfortable to hold with one hand. 7. Simple and convenient menu.
Cons
  • Not "flaws", but my quibbles: 1. No autofocus when shooting video. It is available in slightly newer models: 650D and 700D. 2. The microphone is located so that you constantly cover it with your fingers, and the video is obtained without sound. 3. There is no autofocus adjustment for lenses (although this is usually only found on older models). 4. The screen shows a brighter and richer picture than it actually is.
