I recently bought a flamingo and thought it would make a fun gift for my friend from Florida. Came with an open box and dented on one side. Luckily the wood, base and USB cable were still there, but the actual connector on the back of the lamp was loose, the LED tube was partially frayed and there was a small crack in the plastic tube on the base. It works fine but I wouldn't send it to my friend. For around $20 (including shipping) I wasn't expecting too much, but at this point it's not worth returning and risking getting in a similar/worse condition. It's very cute and bright, and the USB connector works well (I think I just use some glue to prevent it from being pulled out of the base along with the cable). Instead, I kept it to myself and it's on my bookshelf, complementing the flamingos for a beachy vibe in my New York City notebook. Good price, works great and would be the perfect gift if it weren't for the many flaws. I'm really surprised it wasn't broken when it arrived. It was like an elephant sitting at the end of the box and the pieces moved freely. Enough advantages and enough CONS/CONS/DAMAGES to give this 3 stars.
