Lowest Original HP Color Cartridge Set Price, discussion of original and remanufactured cartridges

Use refilled cartridges. They are not refilled, I'm looking at original HP branded retail sealed boxes. It has a different part number as it is a combination unit/part that combines three different color cartridges (no black which usually wears out differently with normal use). I keep going back to the originals because I love the accuracy of the color images. I suppose I could refill cartridges for everyday use and only use release quality originals, but that turns out to be too much of a problem for me. In the end, the main reason I buy HP laser printers is because of the incredible resolution and image quality. The price per copy is low enough that I don't mind buying genuine toner. Be sure to print large areas of color unless you really need them. Finally, the cost of toner is proportional to the amount applied to the page. I also don't think it's worth changing each color cartridge individually. Until one of them is completely gone (much later than I get the automatic low color warning), all colors will be low. It's worth redistributing the toner if coverage becomes uneven. Since each cartridge contains powdered toner, it can easily accumulate in one part of the cartridge instead of being distributed evenly when it runs out. Since you can't see inside, you'll notice when the color (or black) disappears in part of the image (vertically down the page). Take out the cartridge, hold it horizontally, fill it at both ends with both hands. First, shake vigorously back and forth from end to end (left and right) while holding the cartridge in a horizontal plane. Now twist back and forth a short distance, sharply, not gradually, about 10-12 times. The goal is to spread the toner powder evenly across the bottom of the cartridge. You should get an extra number of perfect copies, quite a bit the first time and fewer each time you repeat until the cartridge is completely empty. Final comment if you've read this far - why not refill the cartridges? The genius of a cartridge in a laser printer is that it contains the toner, drum and corona wire, all of which are basically disposable and portable in a laser printer. It was developed by Canon and adopted by HP for its laser printers from the start. You can refill toner, check corona wire and drum and replace if necessary, and you're done. But HP doesn't do that, and as a consumer, it's impossible to verify that it's done right using original quality components, so buying a third-party product, especially from an unknown vendor, will most likely work, but it's also risky. . You can tell that the drum is worn when the print quality is uneven across the page and is repeated across the diameter of the drum. You can tell the corona wire is weak or dirty when vertically extending areas in the image are blurry or faint even if you have enough toner powder, or contain noise. Therefore, if the price difference is large, it is okay to buy refilled cartridges, knowing that sometimes you can get an inferior cartridge in one of these sizes. The only real danger is that if it's not sealed properly and you spill toner on the laser printer, it's a mess that's difficult to clean up. This rarely, if ever, happens today as refilled cartridges seal exactly as they were new. The remaining problems can be compensated for by the presence of cartridges in stock. If one of them fails or is defective, simply swap it out and still get the edge on the price per unit. It's a bit trickier with color laser printers as you have four individual cartridges to control and they are used less often making it harder to find refilled cartridges. It is easiest to just use black laser printers as they tend to be widely available and printers can be as cheap as a single cartridge. (Warning: New printers may come with test cartridges that contain less toner than standard replacement cartridges.)
